Hi, I am Charul, the cook, photographer, writer and the web-designer at “As per taste”. Outside the kitchen I am a biochemist, working toward my Ph.D.
My culinary journey traces back to my childhood years. I was a picky eater and observing my mother’s quest for discovering creative ideas to feed me healthy and tasty meals gradually shaped the chef in me you see today.
After lots of planning and some procrastination, I first started blogging for Hawberry Farms, the producer of more than 250 gourmet food products in Canada. “As per taste” is a lacto-vegetarian food blog. My main focus is the recipes I cook and develop in my kitchen. However, being a science enthusiast I occasionally write some of the geeky stuff about food and cooking on a separate page I named “curious cook”.
